Q. Why doesn’t AEP Ohio string new lines and remove trees, downed wires later?

by on July 3, 2012

Usually, it is quicker and more efficient to use the equipment and material that is already there, if it is still working properly. Completely stringing new wires and/or setting new poles would most likely take much longer.  Electric lines aren’t always the only wires on a pole. There are cable and telephone lines as well.  Wires on the ground can also be a safety hazard to the public.

When is Utica Oh. Getting power??

Roxanne, 90% of customers in Utica are expected to have power by midnight Sunday. Power to your home *may* be restored well before that time. Thanks for your continued patience. ^CS
